The Jelly Belly Factory Tour.
it’s a pretty cool tour and recommend it to everyone. it’s in fairfield and it is best to go on a weekday. The factory doesn’t run on weekends. It smells delicious in there and it was cool to see how they were made. I wasn’t allowed to take photos. I’ve never seen so many jelly beans! The tour brings you through the many stages in the making of these beans. The shop sells “Belly Flops”. These are beans that didn’t pass inspection. So I can get the biggest buttered popcorn flavors (my fave - what’s yours?) — it was like 3 beans fused together. The shop also had a sample bar. I tasted the new pomagranate flavor and the 7Up flavor. Pretty good. We ate at the cafe. They had jelly belly shaped burgers and pizza. I’ve wanted to go since I was a kid. It was fantastic. It was good, quick tour.
If you don’t like Jelly Bellys there is a budweiser factory down the street.
best sicilian restaurant in the bay area
it’s on college ave in berkeley. if you haven’t eaten here i highly recommend it. the atmosphere is great, the staff is awesome. it’s owned and run by two sicilian brothers who also lead the kitchen. the food fantastic. i forgot to grab a copy of the menu, but the roasted chicken superb. it is perfectly seasoned and mouth-wateringly moist. the seafood risoto leaves me speechless. everything i have eaten there, and tonight is the 5th time i’ve had their food, i’ve enjoyed. what’s truly to-die-for is their olive oil and herb blend that you use to dip your bread in. wonderful. i give it 13-stars.oh. and get there early or you might find yourself waiting awhile to get it. but it’s worth it!
last night we saw the drummer from green day eating there.
